Flavius Mareka FET College
is situated in the Northern Free State district of the
Free State Province. Flavius Mareka FET College
includes the following former institutions:
Kroonstad College, Mphohadi
- Teachers' Education College and Sasolburg College.
Flavius Mareka FET College
is headed by Mr
T.S. Letho.
At the
Further Education and Training Awards Ceremony held in
Bloemfontein during 2008, Flavius Mareka FET College was
once again amongst the top performers and walked away
with the lions share of the major trophies. In the
individual staff categories, staff members of Flavius
Mareka took the honours in all categories.
Sasolburg
Campus's close proximity to major chemical and
engineering industries in the Free State and Gauteng
provinces would be suitable for Learnerships in those
fields and there is the possibility of resource sharing
with these industries. It has the potential to develop
specific niche programmes in Engineering to address
community needs.
Mphohadi and Kroonstad
campuses are earmarked as delivery sites for specific
programmes tailored to address the needs of the specific
sub-region. Agricultural Learnerships are being
investigated since the campuses are situated in the Free
State Maize Triangle.
