The National Certificate Vocational - Information Technology And Computer Science NQF Level 2 - 4
This vocational programme is one of the high skills, high quality and high knowledge programmes offered at the College. It has been developed especially for students who are interested in computer programming and systems design and development. It should not be confused with training in computer application programmes such as Microsoft Word or Excel, which forms part of the Life Orientation fundamental subject.
MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS TO THE PROGRAMME
A year- end school report for Grade 9 or higher OR
A NQF Level 1 qualification OR
An approved bridging programme designed for the specific purpose to access NQF Level 2 OR
A recognition of Prior Learning ( RPL) Assessment to meet the basic requirements for access to NQF Level 2
DURATION
One year full-time for each level.

*The full content of the fully accredited IT Essential Programme will be included in these subjects. An optional examination will be written at the end of L4 to acquire the IT Essential qualification as well. Refer to Skills and Learnerships for more information on the IT Essential programme.
